For those customers and those designs that really require Solid Gold Components, we now offer a wide selection of 10kt & 14kt Solid Gold Beads & Findings. Karat gold components are rather expensive compared to Gold Filled, but we've packaged and priced them to be affordable when you really want to use solid gold.
With the price of gold near an all time high, many jewelry makers are looking at alternatives to Gold Filled and Solid Gold jewelry components. Our Vermeil-style Sterling Silver beads & jewelry findings are
an affordable and durable alternative. All components have a base of 92.5% Sterling Silver and a generous plating of high karat gold. Our lead free, Gold Plated Pewter jewelry components are also an excellent alternative to Gold Filled items as they have a very thick layer of gold plating with a solid pewter base. Finally, we also offer a variety of Gold Plated Base Metal beads & findings. Gold Plated (sometime abbreviated 'GP') components are made from base metal covered by a Gold electroplated finish. These items are substantially less expensive than similar Gold Filled, Pewter, or Vermeil Components, but will not offer the same durability.
